Our Beginning

interCONTAINER was incorporated with a view to providing a dedicated service in the Freight Forwarding Industry, which involves the movement of commodities between World Wide Ports and Australia’s Major Ports.

Founded in 1990 in Sydney, Australia, interCONTAINER’s origins began from the Family Road Transport business, originating in Pyrmont in the mid-1860’s and has grown from its early days to a modern, twenty-first century, multi-million dollar, international freight forwarding business, operating on all continents.

Our Goal

interCONTAINER was specifically designed to cater for the necessities of Australian Importers, providing a personalised service, from liaising with their overseas suppliers, to efficiently arranging for the transportation of their cargo from the factory/warehouse to the vessel and the shipment of these goods to the nominated Australian Port. Due to the introduction of containerisation, the handling and transportation of all products has been streamlined over recent years, coupled with the world wide change within the transport industry and to the way goods and cargo are handled.
